Protection of First Nations cultural heritage, a Sydney seminar in person and online
The NSW Chapter of the AIAL and EPLA is pleased to present a panel of experts to discuss the protection of cultural heritage laws in Australia.
The discussion takes place in the context of the recent repeal of the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act 2021 (WA) and the release of the Joint Standing Committee on Northern Australia’s final report into the destruction of Indigenous heritage sites at Juukan Gorge, which criticised existing federal, State and Territory heritage protections and recommended a new framework to set out minimum standards at a national level.
