Regulatory decision-making and advice, an evening seminar in Adelaide

Australian Institute of Administrative Law SA Chapter invites you to a presentation by

Cathrine Clemow and Corinne Harrison (Crown Solicitor’s Office), who will be joined by

Ben Broyd (Assistant Commissioner, Compliance, Enforcement and Advice at Consumer and Business Services), and

Sean Heffernan (Director, Regulatory Practice and Operations at the Education Standards Board), on

Regulatory Decision-Making and Advice.

This presentation will examine how regulatory bodies make administrative decisions including licensing, authorisations and taking compliance action, with comparisons between the review regime applicable to Consumer and Business Services and the Education Standards Board.
Representatives from the regulatory agencies will discuss balancing the need to protect the public and ensure procedural fairness and evidence-based decision making.
