2021 National Administrative Law Conference – Administrative law on the edge
Due to travel restrictions associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 National Administrative Law Conference was held from Thursday 22 July 2021 online.
The Plenary Sessions from Day 1 of the conference program were presented as webinars on 22 & 23 July. The themed concurrent sessions of the program originally planned for Friday 23 July were held as webinars over the following weeks.
The 2021 online Conference was hosted by the Victorian Chapter of the Institute with support form the National Executive and the National Secretariat. The program details are here:

2017 National Administrative Law Conference: ‘Ripples of Affection – Administrative Law and Communities’
The 2017 AIAL National Administrative Law Conference was held on Thursday 20 and Friday 21 July 2017 in Canberra at the Hotel Realm, 18 National Circuit,Barton, Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.
Speakers included Justice John Griffiths of the Federal Court of Australia, Rosalind Croucher, President of the Australian Law Reform Commission, Peter Hanks QC, Professor Matthew Groves of La Trobe University, Justice Janine Pritchard of the WA Supreme Court, Professor Megan Davis of the University of NSW, David Vaile of the Cyberspace Law and Policy Community at UNSW, and Katie Miller of the Victoria Legal Aid. Many of the presentations at the Conference have now been published in AIAL Forum.

2010 National Forum: Delivering Administrative Justice
The 2010 National Administrative Law Forum, “Delivering Administrative Justice” was held on Thursday 22 and Friday 23 July 2010, University of Sydney, Sydney, NSW.
At the 2010 National Administrative Law Forum, Edward Santow presented a paper titled “Enhanced scrutiny of human rights: Of parliament, pigs and lipstick”. After the Forum, it was drawn to the attention of the Institute and Mr Santow that a statement in the paper might be misleading. As a result, Mr Santow has revised the paper. A copy of the revised paper is attached. The revised material can be found at footnote 9 of the paper and in the text in the body of the paper to which footnote 9 relates.
